Default Sharing Wireless Between Two Houses

Hi,

We are trying to share the internet between 2 cottages on a terrace.
There are two houses between us, and the total distance is around 50meters.

We can mount an antenna either on the back of the houses on a pole with clear line of sight, or an antena in the garden, again with line of sight.

I am looking for help with exactly what antennas and which router / access points are best to get. Also what distance is the maximum i can have the antennas away from the router & access point.

Both the router and access point should support bridging (or repeating?) and be compatible with each other.

Also if anyone could give me an idea of what kind of power of aerials we would require to reach between the two points.

Also thinking back, i guess we would need both a router and access point with two aerials? One to be wired up to the outside aerial, and one to distribute signal around the cottages, is this correct?

If not, whats the best way of doing it?

Many Thanks.
