Default Broadcasting DSL over a home wifi. Feasible?

Preface and Current Hardware:
My wireless cable internet is horrible. I now wish to use DSL. I have computer all over the house and am using a WRT54G router.

Question:
Is it possible to broadcast the DSL internet from the router? If so, how do I do that?
Do I plug the DSL modem into the router (and how does it connect at that point)
Do I plug the DSL modem into a desktop (via usb?), and then send the rj-45 into the router.

OR, am I dreaming and require new hardware to make this happen (if it is even possible)

I have googled high and low and can't figure out how to do this.
Thank you VERY much for whatever help is provided.

George
