So at one point I had set the desktop to use a fixed IP address to aid
some home networking and had to enter the DNS addresses, and when my
desktop stopped working I changed it back to obtain IP address
automatically and hadn't seen that I also needed to check back to
obtain DNS server address automatically. I guess my server changed
and that's why my auto-obtaining wireless computers still worked but
my desktop didn't.
