ICS officially available for AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II
From ENG
The customer experience for AT&T Samsung Galaxy S® II owners is
about to get much better.
Starting tomorrow, customers who purchased the Samsung Galaxy S® II
from AT&T will be able to get an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream
Sandwich (ICS), the latest version of the Android platform.
ICS takes the customer experience many steps forward by making
navigation more intuitive with faster user interface and browsing. The
many new features include an enhanced Recent Apps shortcut to ease
multitasking, new lock/unlock features including Face Unlock, improved
home screen folders, a new notifications bar and an app to help you
track your data usage.
It's easy to get the update (free of charge). Here's how:
1. Visit the Samsung website from a personal computer.
2. Download and Install the Samsung Kies Upgrade Program on your PC.
3. Connect your device to your PC and follow the instructions on
Samsung Kies to get the update.
Through my own personal experience, I have found much improved
performance through all the ICS features, especially Recent Apps where
I can go back and forth among multiple apps effortlessly.
Taken with the features already included in the Samsung Galaxy® S II,
ICS is a clear win for our customers.
ICS updates are coming this summer for more AT&T Android devices
so stay tuned.
