Default Join the Wireless Phone Revolution for $10!

As the need for pointlessly expensive Cell Contracts continues to
disappear, FON... the world's largest free wireless network has a deal
to make your CURRENT broadband connection Secure and "Wireless" for $5
and $5 for shipping.

The faster we all join together to get rid of the old Cell Industry the
faster everyone on the planet will move forward!

Go here and choose your country!

https://shop.fon.com/FonShop/shop/

Join Fon here, and they will add you to the list to get the $5 router.

http://www.fon.com/en/register/form

The cool thing about all of this is that you can add it to your existing
wired OR wireless network, and then it allows you to segment your DSL or
Cable connection into one called "social", the other is "private to
you"... you make money every time someone connects, plus gives you the
freedom to "join" any Fon network worldwide.

It's the perfect mesh matrix to get rid of those ugly cell towers and
provide you with free world wide calls!

The future is here, join the growing "massive... basically FREE" party!

yes, edwin needs to learn to read the fine print... what a fool!

$5 for the router, $5 for shipping, then money back every time someone
outside the fon network connects to your fon network...

such a deal...

So, how many "non-foneros" have enriched YOU by buying access from your
connection so far?

(Cue the crickets chirping...)

only a few hundred, but have made $34 bucks in 2 months, not bad...

you'll understand when you move up to making money off your idle
bandwidth.

So effectively you are selling (as in an exchange of money) for letting
people use your wireless connection?

And you'll understand when your ISP cuts you off for TOS violations,
or the feds show up asking who at your IP was downloading trash.

And yet you won't post where this free wifi is located, so that we can all
take advantage of it. Why is that, Oxturd?

Sure, why not rig a rogue AP at his place of employment... it's idle, right?

but you are forgetting that TOS are unenforceable until there is
something as draconian as metered service. all smart users LAUGH at TOSs.

so yes, i and everyone is free to sell their "idle bandwidth", as they
see fit... it's just how it works.

OK...so as I understand what Oxford is saying, this does indeed involve
exchanging your wireless connection for money.

Directed to Oxford to answer...

Have you filed your necessary FCC paperwork? There are two
forms you need to submit.

The maximum possible fine for violations of these rules
could be as much as $130,000 per day with a maximum of
$1,325,000 per violation.

Put your money where your mouth is, Oxtard. Tell us where we can take
advantage of these hotspots- not some one elses, yours.

Hey, that'd pay for half of my ISP charges. If I thought for one minute he
was tellingthe truth, and I could make half that, I'd sign up!

But, seeing how I've never once been greeted by a FON sign-in page ever,
nor do I think anyone would park on my Cul-de-sac for my "reasonably priced
WiFi," I'll file this in the "blowing smoke" category!

He probably doesn't need to as he technically isn't the actual service
provider. The company FON, who supplies the router is- they collect the
payments and kick-back a small commission to the router's owner.

It's a great idea (for FON.) I wished I thoufght of it first- they aren't
in the WiFi business, they're in the "sell suckers some branded routers"
business, and according to their website's maps, they've sold a few thousand.

It applies to a facilities based provider.

Regardless who does the actual billing, Oxtard is providing the wireless
transmission facilities.

Where does the FCC use the phrase "base stations" in the applicable
descriptions of the aforementioned forms? Try again.

Oh wait...you likely don't even know the forms they want to to provide.

But then, you could quickly start "goggling" for that information.

Agreed -- freedom is an important value for most users. I think it's great
that our ISPs don't lock down their network hardware so that, say, the
network would stop working whenever you attempted to use unauthorized 3rd
party software.
