Default Mobiscope brings remote video surveillance to Apple iPhone

SHAPE Services released Mobiscope for iPhone to allow Apple handset
and iPod Touch users to get into George Orwell's shoes in their spare
time. Activities like monitoring office work in real time and
controling the safety of the children, aged relatives or pets are now
available at your fingertips, literary.

Mobiscope offers real-time viewing of the video stream and recording
on any disturbance or on schedule. Users may simultaneously view up to
four cameras or switch between them to get a zoomed in view.
Convenient storage navigation, secure access to the recordings and
data encryption are among other valuable features of the application.
Mobiscope may be accessed from iphone.mobiscope.com in the Safari
browser.

Another pay-per-view Browser webapp.....How sad.

http://corp.orb.com/
I got Grunts in a tent in Baghdad watching cable TV from their homes in
Charleston via Orb....with full remote control. Orb now supports some
new ATSC TV cards on the PC, too.

Their wifes just copy the family videos/pictures/files to the Orb
directories and ol' Sgt Dad in the Desert can watch them 24/7/365 on Orb.

Orb requires only the capability to watch Windows Media or Real Media or
Quicktime, user selectable, and a browser to access it. I'm using
Realplayer for all the GI installs I've done as it adapts to system
speeds better. Works great.

If Dad in BaghDad gets up real early, he can watch the family back home
with full-motion color video and sound from his webcam on the computer
over Orb, too.....
