The Lumias include Nokia Drive, which can either be used online like
Google Navigation, or offline. You can download maps at your convenience
for offline use. Nokia included a similar app on their previous Symbian-
powered smartphones.
This app is only offered on Nokia handsets, and differs from the included
"Maps" app on all Windows Phone handsets.
Like Nokia, any device maker is free to offer their own apps. HTC offers
an on/offline map app called Locations, but you pay for each
country/region you want to use. (HTC licenses the map and nav data from
Route66.) |
