Default quit the land-line business?

Does AT&T actually want to keep land-line customers?
Their repair service seems a lot less energetic than it used to.
Is cell service, now and in the foreseeable future, much more profitable?

Yes, and Sprint is way ahead of ATT on its way to being a wireless
only company
(If it doesn't go broke first - or get bought out by T-Mobile).

I can't imagine T-Mobile being dumb enough to acquire Sprint.
