Default Why you should avoid the iPhone

Well, the iPhone is far from perfect. Yes, in many ways it lives up to
the hype. Yes, it is an innovative, fabulous, desirable gadget. And yes,
it is the best thing since sliced bread. But it is still a very long way
from the truly "convergent" device, the holy grail that will
revolutionize the way we use mobile technology.

I won't bore you by listing all of its shortcomings here, save to say
that anyone looking for a mobile office will find the iPhone experience
a frustrating one and would be best advised to stick with one of the
many Smartphones already on the market.

[skipping down a bit]

Things move quickly in the world of mobile technology and, in just a few
short months, rest assured there'll be a host of devices boasting iPhone
type features at much more affordable prices.

While above NG post was authored by me; appropriate credit for the
original information and source is given. This NG post neither endorses
or disparages Apple...nor any other fruit.

It's just like LG Voyager on Verizon....all hobbled up by the
control freak SELLphone companies and Apple to SELL you
something....music, ringtones, messages, etc., while preventing
you from doing ANYTHING that will use BANDWIDTH we can resell to
thousands of other suckers....

Watch the voyager forum after it comes out to see if the hackers
attack it as successfully as iPhone phreaking has been...(c;

It's fun to watch.

Sounds like an illogical hachet job from a reviewer that's
upset becuase he wasn't allowed to keep his loaned for
review iPhone, and took it out on Apple. The review lacks
detail and specifics.

For every such "negative" review, there are a dozen
or more lauditory ones.
