Default *67 blocking

Is there a charge to use *67 caller ID blocking on my Cingular phone?
Also, when somebody calls me but their number shows up as "Withheld",
is it possible to find out their number in any way?

*67 does not work on Cingular, you must select Hide caller id from your
phone menu/per call . "jeffrey" <johjeffrey@hotmail.com> wrote in message

That's BS. I just tried it 2 minutes ago and it works fine.

Absolute nonsense. When you dial "*67xxx-zzzz", it renders as "Private Call"

Tried it 30 seconds ago.

And alternatively *62 unblocks you if you are blocked by default.

Might want to double-check that bit of information. I have CID blocking
by default on all my Cingular units here in the Chicago market. It's
*82 to unblock on a per call basis.
