Default Can I do a camera phone with a prepaid service?

If I get a prepaid service like cingular gophone, and my phone has a
camera, can I get the picture out of it, or do I need the full service
(not prepaid) for that?

When you take a photo it will be saved to your phone memory. If your talking
about sending that photo to someone else with your phone it would depend on
what messaging plans you have in place with that prepaid phone plan. I'm
sure there are plans to cover all your needs regardless of how you pay for
them. But anyway the picture or video would be on your phone and with a data
cable you could move it to a computer and email it if nothing else. Just ask
the carrier where you got the phone I'm sure they will have details for you,
good luck.

Yes, with the major prepaid services, such as Virgin, Cingular Go Phone,
Verizon InPulse, and T-Mobile

If you're looking at the low-cost prepaid services such as PagePlus or
Beyond Wireless, then you have to use a cable to connect to the
computer, plus have the appropriate software.

Note that on many Verizon phones (which are also used on PagePlus) they
have disabled the ability to download directly to the computer, and you
have to do a little bit of hacking of the phone firmware to restore this
capability.

Of course the advantage of using a cable is that you don't have to pay
extra for getting the pictures out (or putting in pictures that you have
from somewhere else).
