Cingular 2126 keyboard lock ?

Is there a way to lock the keyboard on the Cingular 2125 ?
It will auto lock but it takes forever.
If it is in my shirt pocket all I hear is beep beep when it hits
against a pen or paper clip.
I tried the security lock and all it does is think someone is entering
the wrong password and it still beeps.
I set timeout to ten seconds what ever that is I dont know but it
doesnt do anything.
