Default Does Cingular offer tough phones

I want a phone something along the lines of the Nextel tough phones. I do
not want to have to be delicate with it. is there a Cingular phone that is
built tough?

Joe

There are some toughened GSM phones, but you'd have to buy them
elsewhere and stick in your SIM.

The Symbol MC70 is one model, but it's quite expensive at about $2000.

There are some tri-band models, but the three bands are 900/1800/1900
which won't do you much good in the U.S. unless you're mainly on
T-Mobile cells.

Check out the Nokia 5140

It has the 850 & 1900 band and is built to be rugged. Here is a link
to nokia's website however the phone is no longer available through
their site.
