Getting Data plan to work in Mexico (Ciungular 8125 PPC Phone)
How do you get the PPC Phone (Cingular 8125) to work in Mexico. I can call
out and receive calls, but I cant check my email, and internet.
The phone is dialing a 415 area code number. Says that there is no modem on
the other side. Do I need to change the number or add a 0110 or something
in front of it?

The phone is apparently trying to connect via dial-up using CSD (Circuit-
Switched Data) a 9.6kbps connection which is going to kill you at
$1/minute if it connects!
The phone should only try CSD if GPRS isn't available. Try changing
networks (I believe Movistar allows GPRS, while TelCel uses CSD.)

You could try "+1(415)xxx-xxxx" as your dialup number. The "+" is
essentially a wildcard which tells the local mobile company to insert the
international dialing code they use in that country, so you don't need to
edit your phonebook for every country you travel to.
