Default good urls for PDAs?

My E62's display (320xwhatever) requires scrolling on many web pages.
It only displays about 40 characters wide. - is that common for PDA
displays?

I found the low graphics bbc news to be good for my PDA type html
browser (one column):
http://news.bbc.co.uk/text_only.stm

International Herlald Tribune is good too (two columns):
http://www.iht.com/indexes/articleindexes/index.php

Noaa's weather radar isn't bad but requires some scrolling to my
location - I'd like to find a smaller local doppler radar image.

Please let us know about good web sites for small displays. I'd rather
scroll down than flip thru sequential wap pages.

Oh, Google's wap proxy does a good job of converting regular html pages
to wap format if you are interested.
http://google.com/gwt/n
links accessed thru this gateway are also wapified - very useful for
bookmarks if you like the wap format.

[rant]If authors would just use html tags as intended & NOT try to
force display format we'd all be better off![/rant].

You can download the Opera Mini for free (http://www.operamini.com/). It is
not perfect, but it does improve usability.

The free Google Mobile home page can be easily customized with your
choice of various services adapted for small display screens.

NOAA has an excellent WAP access page, including a link to small screen
radar display, at www.srh.noaa.gov/wlm
