Default I'd love an iPhone, but...

.....this is all I keep hearing! As a Verizon customer who's considering
a change, what would you all say? Appreciate the comments.

Consumer Reports, in its July issue, says the combined AT&T and Cingular
is the worst among the major cell phone companies. The new combo had a
complaint rate nearly four times the rate for Verizon Wireless, the
nation's second-largest carrier. Consumer Reports says that if you're
considering a change of wireless carrier, you may want to look first to
Verizon. It had the lowest number of complaints per customer among
national carriers, and relatively few complaints about service quality
and billing.

You must get a different version of Consumer Reports than I do. The
July issue rates some cell phones by different carriers, but no
ratings of the companies themselves. Regardless, we changed from
Verizon to Cingular a couple of years ago. Loved Verizon, but the
rest of the family was on Cingular and we wanted the free
mobile-to-mobile minutes. In that two years I have not had one reason
to complain about anything. I called them a couple of times with
questions about specific phones, and received quick answers. Works
great in all the states we travel in (western U.S.) Hopefully, going
back under the AT&T unbrella won't change anything.

Greatly appreciate the reply.
If I may...what part of the country is your home area?
I live in NJ, and travel to NYC each day, and curious about coverage in
this area.
Currenty with Verizon, I always have strong signals and never drop
calls.
Thanks much.

This is why you get to try before you commit. Try it for the free trial. If
it works, great. If not, you still have verizon.

I'm in Sedona frequently, and Cingular/ATT works fine for me. Qak Creek
Canyon can be a little spotty, but the whole Sedona, Cottonwood, etc.
area is good.
