Default Lost phone part of family plan what next?

My daughter lost her cell [phone (along with the SIM card). This is
part of a family plan of 4 . What are my options?

Will At&T issue a new SIM card ? At what cost? My original family
plan was a CIngular 7pm nights and weekends .

Thanks for any advice.

Stop the service on the phone that is lost. Get a new sim card from ATT ,
little or no cost, and buy a phone off Ebay. Thats what I would do..

Thanks. There are many phones on ebay. Do you happen to know the
frequency that the ATT network works on . 850, 900, 1900 ? or 1800?

Also is it best to contact a store or the customer support line to
report loss?

Thanks again

I went to the ATT store. They want me to migrate to the new ATT and
sign a new 2 year contract which I do not want to. They said if I can
produce an old CIngualr/ATT sim they may be able to help me. I cannot
believe that they are willing ot let a $ 114/month customer walk and
go to somebody else. I need to find an old sim.

They will sell you a SIM, probably for $25, and you won't have to extend
your plan.

If your SIM card was a really old pre-merger AT&T Wireless card you might
be able to get a replacement here:

http://www.rokland.com

They also sell fairly new AT&T SIM cards for a lot less than AT&T
usually does. If your SIM cards are really old (not 310-410) Cingular
cards, say from California, however, I don't know where you'll get one.

As for the other bit, note that AT&T's Average Revenue Per User (i.e.
per line of service) at $50/month is the lowest among the nationwide
carriers. By this standard someone paying $114/month for 4 lines isn't
really a high spender, they're significantly below average.

Thanks Dennis for that website. I was able to find an old phone with
a SIM that I got activated.
On your note of $ 50 /month revenue just about all family plans will
come under that number including the Verizon plans.
