Yes, iPhones can use any kind of external memory card...SD, SDHC, miniSD,
microSD, any camera cards on the market. You just plug them into the
iPhone and it will show any movies or pictures in any format on the card or
play any kind of MP3, FLAC, OGG, WMA, WMV, MOV, AVI, DIVX, etc. media
without having to load it with iTunes or some other company nanny program.
Just put it on any directory on the card from your PC and it'll play it, no
problem! Just doubletap on any file in the great file manager and iPhone's
OS will select the proper player and codecs to play any kind of media files
from anywhere, not just iTunes.
The card slot is inside the battery compartment cover next to the
replaceable hot-swappable battery pack. Just lift the battery out and the
card reader's multicard connector is right under it. There's a little clip
to hold the memory cards in place. There's room for 2 of them, mmc1 and
mmc2.
Don't forget the battery only goes in one way to match the gold pins in the
battery holder.
Your Apple store experts can show you all these great features....just ask
them.
