Samsung Car Adapter, Will It Work?

I've got three old Samsung phones that I still have when I upgraded. I
give them to my kids when they loose their newer phones. They all work
just fine. They are:

Samsung SGH-X4277
Samsung SGH-P107
Samsung SGH-X497

I found a car adapter that has the cingular orange light-up logo on it in
my nightstand. It's never been used, but I don't have the package it
came in. It appears to fit into all of the above phones, but I have no
way of knowing which phone I originally bought it for, since it has no
model number/part number on it.

Am I correct to assume that I should just chuck it, and not take a chance
on using it on any of the above phones?

Do you know if the car adapter was for a Samsung phone? If so, then it
shouldn't matter what exact Samsung model it was, as long as it fits
properly.

Yes, it was for a Samsung (but labeled Cingular). I was just on the
Samsung site and they sell one model car adapter for all three of the
phones I have.
