Default Shortcuts on a Cingular 3125

I deleted a couple of programs from my Cingular 3125, XM Radio and I forget
the other one. Now I have a couple of shortcuts on my home screen that don't
work and I can not delete them. When I try and open them I get an alert
saying "Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename". My only
option from here is to click OK and get returned to the home screen. The
icons for these unusable shorrtcuts lookes loke the same icon under windows
when ther is no application for the file, that generic windows icon. Anyone
know how to delete these shortcuts?

Thanks.

Using File Explorer, navigate to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs and delete
the shortcuts you no longer want/need.

Thanks for the reply. But, this did not work. Thes phantom shortcuts don't
show up when I hit the start button and as such aren't in the
windows/startmenu/programs folder. They show up across the top of the screen
when I have my home screen set to MSN default, Cingular MSN default, or
Cingular Windows default screen..

Oh... sorry. I'm not real familiar with MS Smartphones- I use a PPC
phone (similar but slightly different OS.) On a PPC phone, there is a
"Menu" setup icon in "Settings" where you can select (or deselect) any
programs- selected ones appear in the Start Menu itself, and deselected
ones go into the Programs folder (and can then be deleted.)

The trick, I'm guessing, is to figure out how to move those icons from
the Home screen into the programs folder, where they can then be deleted.
Good luck!
