Apple needs to contact Mitsubishi Canada to find out who dreamed up the
most hilarious commercial I've seen in a long time advertising their cars.
The commercial opens at a convenience store checkout counter with a teenage
boy clerk at the register....
A guy walks in with a big briefcase, turns it towards the clerk and opens
it to reveal it's full of bags of cocaine.
The man says to the clerk, "Pump Number 3", and turns to walk back out to
pump his gas. The clerk tells him thank you and to come back again as if
he dropped a Twoney on the counter.
The kid closes the lid on the coke and latches it back smiling before the
announcer breaks it away to show you the car and tell you how much you'll
save spending $30,000 on a $5000 Mitsubishi just to save $500 on gas money.
The ad is playing, incessantly like all ads on CTV News does, over and
over. It's not near as funny after you've seen it 30 times in an hour.....
