Default Sprint Cellular rips off Texas Customers

Sprint added a "reimbursement Fee" of 1% of your rate plan to Texas
customers, to cover costs of a new Texas Business tax.

Problem is the tax goes into effect 12 months from now in 2008.

Sure sounds like grounds for getting out of your Sprint contract if
you want to.

And another reason why I've enjoyed my almost 3 years with Cingular,
not to mention soon getting an Apple iPhone.

Lots of lawsuits will occur soon.

Sprint is a good company and would not intentionally rip-off customers. Best
wishes. Enjoy the high-prices, slow data, dropped calls, and the latest
yuppie wannabee device that Cingular offers (iPhone).

Try reading the story before you blindly support Sprint.

The Governor of Texas' Office commented on Sprint's charges.

Perry (Texas Governor) spokesman Robert Black called the company's
surcharge "a political stunt trying to poke their finger in the eye of
the Legislature. ... Why don't they put other charges on their bill?
Why don't they ask their ratepayers to pay their utility bill or their
CEO's bar bill?"

"Taylor said the company is collecting the fee now so that it will have the
funds in hand when the tax is due in May 2008, since the tax will be based
on 2007 business activity."

And the problem with that is...?
