T-Mobile Network Outage Accidental or Intentional?
Could one or more hacked 'Linux type' phones have been the accidental
cause of the T-Mobile network collapse? Don't they now have an open
source Linux G phone which hackers love on T-Mobile?
Could the collapse have been intentional on an election day when
critical results wold begin to pour in? (a form of social terrorism)
Was the collapse the result of an attack on T-Mobile's network
computers that control their network?
Does anyone know if the DHS ( and the FBI) has become involved in
investigating this outage as it is clearly a threat to national
security to have such outages?
Was T-Mobile affected globally?
Does Microsoft have any other connection to T-Mobile other than the
Danger phone?
Did someone try to upgrade the network to Windows 7? :>)

Fortunately for me, I wasn't among them. I had no idea there was an
outage until I read it about it online (ironically, while browsing the
web on my T-Mo phone...)
Maybe the estimated 1 million+ unlocked iPhone users who wilingly put up
with EDGE speeds on T-Mo to escape AT&T's overpriced underperforming
network all tried to download a new fart app at the same time and T-Mo
had to cut them off to protect the network...

I was, in San Diego, but my wife wasn't, at home in Victorville. That
makes me wonder if it was due to capacity issues... remember, T-Mo has
just introduced a few more unlimited calling plans. Victorville is
small, compared to other SoCal cities (population 107K). San Diego, of
course, is huge. 1.3 million people living within the city limits.

I was driving across I-80 from NYC heading westward. Numerous
people trying to reach me didn't get through. I had no difficulty
calling out, but couldn't get through to customer service
or to the "#bal# or #min#" choices.

Both T-Mo lines in my household were affected, one more than the other.
My handset at one point could dial out, but could not ring my wife's handset
(got a "fast busy" instead). It *could* ring our landline.
The landline could ring (and connect with) my handset, but not my wife's
(same fast busy as described above). My wife's handset could not dial out
-- at all -- to anything.
Didn't try data on either handset -- called T-Mo on the landline and learned
there was a nationwide connnectivity outage, expected to be resolved by the
next morning. And resolved it was.
