Default Tethering on 3G

Is this possible?

I am looking to get a new phone soon. If I get a new 3G phone, can I tether
it to my laptop to use the HDSPA network with the $19.99 MediaNet unlimited?

I already know that tethering with medianet is against Cingular's terms, and
I am not interested in any responses related to which data plan people are
supposed to use with what. I want to know if this is possible.

Thanks,

James Ayton

Should be technically possible. Me, with my grandfathered MediaWorks
plan, finally had it start working good sometime in the last week.
The problems I was having with many sites over a week ago didn't occur
today in San Diego and Dallas. Under 400kb/sec, though.

The CU500, since at the time it was the only 3G phone that also
supported Bluetooth.
