A rep from the Cingular, err...AT&T biz solutions office told me once,
"We make a lot of money off that..." and mentioned Disney, and several
municipal governments.
On a side note, when I was first testing remote desktop access on
Cingular data card connected laptops, it indeed appeared to work; but I
discovered that only worked with laptops on the same Cingular network.
In other words, if a laptop was connected to Cingular's network, I had
to use another similarly connected computer to see it. Kind of a garden
walled allowed access.
There are some workarounds, not as fast or easy...but it still works.
For live video feeds, I can use Yahoo web cams. OR...if I have a
networked cam (may it be an IP cam or NTSC analog cam connected to a IP
converter), then I FTP my imagery up to an FTP server and viewers can
view the images off the server.
For remote desktop control, I can have the data card connected laptops
go to an http driven client server. I played with the Citrix approach
with a demo license, but couldn't justify the $150 per month for a two
seat tech support license.
So I went with the PCHelpWare approach.

Both the Citrix and PCHelpWare are not dependent on any of the client
sided IT infrastructure. Instead of you having to "tunnel in" through
teh client sided routers, firewalls, NAT, etc; it "tunnels out" back to you.
