Default Upgrading the 8525 to new ROM? Has any done this yet?

I got my 8525 in November and wondered if anyone else had upgraded
their ROM to the recent, new version dated 04/09/07

Was it smooth?
Any problems?

Did you have too re-program you email?

I know I can save my 2dn party apps, but I wonder if I will lose my e
mail settings. I assume I can copy and save my favorites as well?

I have upgraded the ROM. It went smooth. The upgrade erases all of the
data on your device. The data on the card is fine. I'm not sure about
the programs on the card, if any. There is a backup program, Sprite
Backup (http://www.spritesoftware.com/) that claims to be able to
restore your stuff even after a ROM upgrade. I've never used it so I
cannot tell you how well it matches the claims.

The bottom line is this, be prepared to reload everything back on to
your device. It will be as if you just took the device out of the box.
