I guess the obvious question would be, does anyone know where?

My Cingular rep told me the Microsoft/Samsung revision was to be delivered
to Cingular by May 26. Cingular has 8 weeks to review for rejection, change
or release.
The T-Mobile group is posting lots of problems with the M6 upgrade. My guess
is T-Mobile did an early release for market advantage that wasn't well
tested. I have a major product release waiting on Mobile 6. I can wait 8
weeks, rather than fix early release mistakes.

Google is your friend. I've read postings of folks with the new
version on an 8525, where reports seemed favorable.

I agree with the previous poster, I am willing to wait for the offical HTC
provided upgrade to WM6, and even may wait a month or so afterwards. This
is an expensive phone and it is under warrenty, not going to rush messing it
up to be cutting edge.
Then again, people on efnet #pocketpc have done the WM6 upgrade on their
8125's, 8525's and 8700's with no or little problems, All of you are
welcome to come over.

Certainly I understand your reluctance, but despite the good reviews
of WM6 (newer, faster, better), it hardly deserves a label as "cutting
edge".

True, but it corrected a few of the more nagging bugs/unfortunate design
decisions of WM5.
I suspect this new release would've probably been called "WM5 SE" (given
it's lack of significant new features plus MS' decision not to charge for
the update- previously unheard of for a PPC x.0 release) but I assume the
impending iPhone release convinced MS' marketing folks that the release
of a "new" OS, rather than a "second edition" was in order.
WM6 will be available from at&t for the blackjack in the future. Much
testing is done on software before a decision is made then it must be sent
to samsung for their programmers to write a firmware update. It is in the
works, will be free but we dont know when.
