How do you open the memory card socket on the k800i?

Is there a technique for doing this? Do you slide it towards the recessed
end?

Very carefully

There is little gap at the end of the cover, keyboard end, get your
fingernail or suitable screwdriver and prise up. You get the feeling
it's going to break but it does lift up.

I also was surprised at SE having such a cover, not like the P900, a
much better made phone.

Just squeeze a nail under it and use violence!

Many thanks for your replies - sounds like it's a bit vulnerable to
breakage? Lucky I'm not going to be opening it regularly!
