W810i problem - dark display screen

Hi group, maybe somebody can help or suggest a fix for this problem.
My SonyEricsson W810i displays a dark black screen, everything works, phone,
mp3, camera, sms, all functions are there,
but.... It is almost impossible to see anything an screen, if I try
different angles and hold the cell under my kitchenlamp, I can read what's
on the display, barely!
It's really a pain in the butt.
Any suggestions, HELP, anyone?
