Default Batteries that fit Motorola v9m (Verizon)

I have a Motorola v9m handset designed for Verizon. I think it could
use a fresh battery. Which battery models would fit this handset? I
don't want an oversize battery with a bulging access door. I would
like a higher capacity battery if possible.

Thanks for any ideas.

Open up your phone's battery compartment and read the label on the
battery. That should tell you the proper nomenclature. Failing that,
the instruction booklet should address the subject.

If all else fails, call or go to, your local Verizon Wireless store and ask!

Yes Richard I have done that. I have also searched for compatible
batteries, and I have found several candidate models:
- BX40
- Bx41
- Bx50

These three batteries differ in electrical capacity. I do not know if
all three of them would fit into my v9m.

If all else fails, then I will. I really don't like to use a store's
resources (any store), and then turn around and buy stuff via internet.
But Verizon stores charge sky high prices, so I have a problem with
this.

They won't. You can only use one at a time. :-)

You can't have a higher capacity battery (BX80) without the extended
battery cover.

My V9m (inactive) is equipped with BX41 battery. I believe, but not
certain, that the BX50 could be used ONLY in the AT&T version of this phone.
Good luck.

Battery life is not this phone's strongest point, but still a great "phone".

My recollection was that BX50 fit into the phone but the cover would not go
back on. My own answer above made me curious and I found this:

Hope it helps.
