Did you, or did you not, terminate your service from T-Mobile before
completing your contract and without paying the early termination fee?
Had you complied with the terms of the contract you signed, you almost
certainly could walk into the T-Mobile store and ask them to unlock the
phone. A minute or two of button pushing and your phone would have been
unlocked.
I've been given to understand that most providers will unlock a phone
for a customer who is in good standing, and is planning to travel in a
foreign country.
Consider yourself lucky that T-Mobile didn't take you to court for
breach of contract. |
