Want To Move contacts From One SIM Card To Another SIM Card

Cross posted to alt.cellular.gsm.

I have a quad-band GSM Motorola V195S cell phone. All my contacts are
stored on the current SIM card. I am now traveling to another country
and will purchase a SIM card from the local telco. How do I transfer
all my contacts information from one SIM card to the other?

Assuming you have either Bluetooth connectivity to your computer or the
quite-common mini-USB <--> USB cable, Motorola Phone Tools allows you to pull
your contacts from the phone into a file on your computer. Then, upon
replacing the SIM, it would be a matter of just reversing the process.

There might be other equivalent programs out there.

You can probably copy all the SIM card numbers to the
phone's memory, and then either just leave them there
or copy them to the new SIM card. I've done that on a
Nokia of mine; other phones should be possible, too.
