Default Hybrid ic502 question

Will the ic502 Nextel/Sprint telephone work outside of the US? e.g. the
Caribbean, UK?

The ic502 uses the CDMA/WCDMA network for telephone conversations,
which hardly exists outside the US. You'll probably need a GSM phone
to cover the areas you've mentioned.

I used mine in Cabo San Lucas MX in March. It worked great on the Sprint
side, but not on the Nextel side. 99 cents a min.

Sprint side won't work BUT the radio will work to So. America and Mexico if
you subscribe to the Int'l. call ($10). Need GSM for all others.

Not true in Cabo San Lucas MX. Sprint works but radio does not. I was
there in mid March and used the Sprint side extensively.
