i -576 setting your own pictures to walpaper and ringtones

does any reader here know how to set your own pictures as wallpaper on this
phone?
it lets you do the pics that are already in there, but like a picture that
someone sends me that i save
does not allow the option of setting it as wallpaper.

same thing with ringtones, if they arent in there to start they cant be
assigned?

the hell?
