6300, Plusnet and emails?

Has anybody managed to get the 6300 to send emails via a Plusnet account?
I can receive but not send, despite endless tinkering with plain text
authentification as recommended by the PN support team.

I can send okay using my O2 account, but not my main PN one. Any tips much
appreciated...
