Dear David,
I have a E90 and I live in Europe. I am pretty happy with (I have to
warn you: it is very difficult to make me really happy :-).
As I said I am pretty happy: I would buy it again but it is not the
perfect machine. But at the moment is the best mobile phone with a
large screen and full keyboard that I was able to find (I wanted to
avoid Windows Mobile phones since I prefer Symbian)
Some comments that you might not find on reviews:
* keyboard:
* OK, not perfect but usable, more feedback would be better (both in
feeling where the keys are and the pressed feeling)
* keyboard height: when the device is closed the keys touch the
screen. If you fingers are not clean (and I mean really clean) you
will make your screen dirty the first time you close the device
* screen: nice, very nice :-)
* connectivity: OK for me but if you need a VPN client you will have
to wait (see
http://matteocorti.ch/docs/ethz_hints.html#vpn)
* GPS: it takes a very long time to perform a cold start (get the
initial status from an unknown position)
* Office: I never though that I would have used it but I was able to
write a simple letter send it to a fax gateway and the recipient told
me it was nice and seemed real (i.e., made with a "real" word
processor :-)
* Radio: worse interface ever
* Multimedia: I used it as an MP3 and video player without problems
* Camera: don't really know. Never used.
* Sync: crappy, whole day events are marked as event from 00 to 24
filling you whole day (week view is useless, in my case everything is
always marked as busy due to the whole day events). I use a Mac but a
collegue with a Windows machine syncing with Outlook/Exchange has the
very same problem
If you need more info just ask :-)
