Default battery life it drains too early

I have been using Nokia 1661 for a while now; it is a simple to use with
decent functionalities (Radio my favourite), I mean what everyone
expects from a cell phone it truly does. However my only concern is
related to its battery life, I mean it drains too early. Is any one
else who is facing the same issue or is it some sort of manufacturing
defect in my handset. As it is really annoying that I have to charge it
too often. I would like to replace this as it is now getting on my
nerves.

What do you mean by 'It drains too early'? What do you call early. How often
do you charge it and how long do you keep the radio on?

In time batterylife will fall down.
I just bought a new one, and an extra one
as a spare, because if you use the axtra funtionality
of cellphones a lot the battery is empty in the shortest time.
