As an end user you're highly unlikely to. The 3220 is not on Nokias Update
Server, and the likelihood is that it never will be.

It depends what you use to flash the phone, and which parts of the firmware
you flash. If you flash just the MCU & PPM, chances are that most if not
all of the user content will remain intact. Flashing the CNT and/or the PM
will usually result in losing everything already on the handset as will
setting phone/flash defaults after the flashing procedure.
