Default Introducing a brand new discussion group for Symbian C++ Developer

Hi Folks,

I would like to introduce a brand new discussion group for Symbian C++
Developers. This is a Google Group; I hope everybody will like it.
I've come up with an idea of this group only because I don't have
access to the public newsgroup of Symbian. So I thought this would be
helpful to others also to have a discussion about various matters
related with Symbian C++.

This is a general discussion group no matter whether it's S60, S80, S90
or UIQ, but it should be related to Symbian C++. You can post your
doubts, findings, and arguments etc., related with Symbian C++ to here.

I hope all of your's contributions and co-operation for this
discussion group.

Here is the links:

This is the traditional one with simple interface:
http://groups.google.com/group/symbian-cpp
The other one with full web features:
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/symbian-cpp

Thanks for reading. Have a nice time!

NB: Please remove if it is not relevant here.

If your ISP's newsgroup server doesn't relay the Symbian newsgroups, you
can access them using their own free usenet server
(publicnews.symbiandevnet.com).

If your network administrator blocks the NNTP ports, contact him and ask
him to unblock them as this is a really silly thing to do if you're into
software development.

If all else fails and you have no other choice than using a web forum (i
can feel your pain), then have a look at Forum Nokia and NewLC, they are
fairly active symbian developers forum. I don't think that there is a need
for yet another symbian dev forum. Sybian developers are already scattered
enough among Forum Nokia, NewLC, the symbian usenet forums and several
other smaller communities.

Hi Mdhdi,

Thanks for your valuable suggestion. I'm an active member of those
Forums you've mentioned. Even though I'm a fan of Newsgroup, but
unfortunately in my new company they've disabled the NNTP Port 119.
I've no other option. I think you may know the simplicity of Google
Group and its speed in delivering messages.

And the new group, that's my own contribution for the developers (I
wanted to be like that). And more over there is no popular Google group
for Symbian.
