I forgot to mention that you just might think of this as being the
cousin of an exit poll on election day.

Not of the first model, but the product line will keep on growing.

Apple will trump it, just like they topped every version of the iPod.
Unlike many other companies, they understand that they'd better be the
ones who supersede their own best-selling products, like the way the
replaced the iPod mini with the iPod nano.

Yeah, They were so disruptive that they almost went belly up. If not for
Bill Gates handing them over 100 million.
The iPhone is a damn toy - not worth a shit for business.
Slick interface, not much else.
It "disrupted' very little - if anything.

And, by your comments, I see you certainly aren't in business.
I doubt you've ever used a spreadsheet - or you wouldn't have made
such an asinine comment.

I use it for my business. Sold my Treo because this trumped it in every
way. Far easier to use and do business with.
I certainly did play with it and have used one, nice toy for sure.
(REALLY STUPID not to have an exchangeable battery)
But I am in business and it certainly isn't a business tool.

Good Lord Larry! Where have you been over the last 2 years? Apple runs
only on Intel processors for their Macs and the iPhone uses an Apple

Apple hasn't used Motorola processors for what 4-5 years?

Fuck off fanboy... Look at whom is laughing at whom....
(it ain't me)
Interesting you didn't address ANY valid points.
Just did the tired old (and ultra-lame) Usenet cop routine.
Used when someone is too limp-dicked to actually address the issue(s).
A sure sign of someone that has NO facts to actually stand on.
I top post because I prefer it that way. It is the way I do e-mail (and ALL
business does BTW) - and I will continue to do so even if some idiot
spouts off about it. But, business is foreign to you, I'd bet...
I've probably been around well before you could walk, much less type.
Nice try, nut NOT EVEN CLOSE moron.
"Technology" huh? You couldn't be farther from the actual truth. I've
been a network engineer for years and I fart more technology than you know.
CCNE, MCITP, MCSE, etc... What are YOU? Some dumb ass kid, I'm sure...
I have Agent and use it when I need that specific tool. I use O Express because
it works well for simple text stuff. The right tool for the job.
Now again - pull your head out FANBOY!!!

poor Ness_Net doesn't have the slightest clue to how the modern world

Yep- scrolling to the bottom of a post and clicking there to move the
cursor sure is hard work!
I usually post from my WinMo phone using QMail, like I'm doing now,
(which also "forces" one to top post, BTW) but I generally use OE
from my desktop. It works fine for what it is.
> If you look at the headers of top posters, you will find the vast

I nevr really noticed or cared. While I don't top post very often,
IMO it's a style choice. I tend not to particularly care which
method someone uses if they have something useful to say.
Personally, I prefer posting inline.

Until you learn proper posting procedures on usenet, your comments are
moot. First LEARN how to post then we can communicate, until then you
appear to be a 3 year old child.

I always find it interesting when someone complains about screen size
and resolution on modern smartphones. Sure it isn't a 1084x768 17"
display, but 320x240 and 640x480 were both desktop standards not too
many years sgo. I find Excel no more difficult to use on my PPC
screen than Lotus 1-2-3 or Multiplan were on my ancient CGA displays
years ago.
A PDA/smartphone is a technological Swiss Army Knife. A very useful
collection of tools in a compact, easy to carry package. Sure, any
one of those tools pales in comparison to it's full-sized/full-
featured equivalent, but that's hardly the point, is it? No one
who's ever used the screwdriver or scissors on a Swiss Army knife
prefered it over using a real screwdriver or a real pair of scissors.
The point is that I essentially have the most important capabilities
of a low-end laptop in a device the size of a deck of cards, and,
more importantly, like the knife, I have it EVERYWHERE, unlike a pair
of scissors, screwdriver, or a laptop!
Unlike a prior poster, I won't claim you can't possibly use your
iPhone for business- but I'll guess that your business uses do not
require much more than e-mail, web access and telephony. If so,
fine. But some of us need more, and need it even when the cell
network is unavailable (docs.google.com? Google Maps? Surrre...)
That's why I find the iPhone so disappointing. It's an impressive
piece of hardware hampered by an extremely foolish (greedy?) business
plan. Third-party developers have done amazing things with the iPod.
If given "official" access to the iPhone, these and other 3rd-party
developers would've likely already turned the iPhone into a real
business-class device that'd give RIM, Symbian and MS a run for their
money. As it stands now, it's an iPod phone with webtablet, (and a
darn spiffy one!) A tremendous waste of excellent equipment.

Until you care to actually discuss "technology" and not
just engage in a 'pissing match', I will simply write you off as
just another mis-informed rabid fanboy.
Your top post smoke screen is not only very transparent, it's
probably also indicative of your actual level of knowledge
on the actual subject ("technology" in your words) that was
being discussed.

just ignore Ness_Net, even his website shows he's a massive newbie.
I certainly don't want to engage in a pointless argument about
how one is supposed to post. The subject is beaten to death
ad nauseam by those MUCH more opinionated than I...
As long as you edit properly, I see no difference. I care
to actually READ the content and what is being said. Not how it
is posted.
If someone were to actually ignore what is being posted
or laugh at it simply because of something so goddam trivial, it is
not my problem - it is entirely theirs.
