Default N-96

Has anyone seen defective or been frustrated by Nokia N-96 phones? Nokia
deny they exist!

Slow, buggy and frustrating as hell, no updates since 2008, if you've got
one (like me) tough shit Nokia don't care. I use it as a phone and thats
it.... EVERYTHING else takes far too long to get opened and running.

They have replaced the handset once (ELF at Retailer) and the
transponder twice in the replacement Now thay are offering a replacement
phone (New in in sales package). Every one has had problems holding the
sim card (hence the offered replacement). My experience with Nokia
support services is that the replacement is very unlikely to ever eventuate.
TIO and CAV are already involved.

I see the whole N series as poorly designed or poorly manufactured.
Also their support pages are rarely updated. There have been 2 firmware
releases for the N-96 this year alone.

My favourite phone remains my N95.

I am hoping to get an N97 but may change series while staying with Nokia.

No releases of firmware in the UK for Vodafone customers, still Oct 2008 the
last update.
