N80 internet edition: Ad-Hoc wlan connection doesn't work
Hello all,
I have a correctly working Ad-Hoc 802.11b network card on a laptop.
Other computers successfully connect to it to use Internet connection
either with DHCP or statically specified parameters. There is no WEP
or WPA.
The card used the 192.168.0.1 defaulted by windows xp.
On my N80ie, instead, there is no story. I tried everything. All I can
get is this cryptic message: "Unable to connect. Check connection
settings". Believe me I have checked whatever I had to check.
IP is set to 192.168.0.10, netmask to 255.255.255.0, gateway to
192.168.0.1. All the other obvious parameters are properly set. I also
tried DHCP. Same result.
Is it possible to see somewhere a more detailed error description?
This is my first symbian phone... where is /var/log ?
Other people reported the same problem on various web forums. It
always remained unsolved. What am I missing?
