Nokia 6600 - contact transfer from one to another cellphone HowTo?

Hello Group,

I have a Nokia 6600 and now I want to swap to another cellphone e.g.
Ericsson. How best and as easy as possible can I transfer the contacts
from one to another cellphone? It seems my 6600 has some special
problems e.g. I cant switch the bluetooth on any more. Is there a way
of transfer them via IR?

On the Bluetooth issue, have you tried removing the 'phone battery for about
a minute, re-inserting it and then powering the 'phone up again? Bluetooth
modules can be funny bitches at times but they generally repond to being
powerless at times

Yes I have already tried to switch it of to take out the battery and
so on but without success. well how ever I can connect to another
phone (infra red, bluetooth, etc) what I really need is to transfer
the contacts.... but how?

Yes, you can sync with IR as you can do it with bluetooth.
but there is a different system, in some way easier: you can register
yourself to www.mobical.net, upload your contact, and download it in
the new phon, all with gprs... check if your new phone is supported
byt mobical.

Thx Pietro, for your help!
I had a look at this site and I tried already but not very
successful... how ever to push the contacts to a website is cool! but
in my case I just want to send them to another cellphone... can that
be so complicated? What steps does it need to do so? Is it necessary
to use third party software to transfer all contact at once? I saw I
can push them via bluetooth or IR to the other phone directly, but
just one by one... I'll hope I get that old to be still alive when
finished transferring!

Well how ever I'll find a solution, sooner or later... hopefully...?!

Sure! You can read these contacts to a PC using Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian OS phones ( http://www.oxygensoftware.com/en/products/symbian/opm/ ) and then export them to Microsoft Outlook. After that just synchronize Outlook base with your Ericsson phone using standard SonyEricsson software. Export functionality is available in business version only.

If your SonyEricsson phone is Symbian-based smartphone, then you don't need export functionality and you can transfer the contacts between two phones inside Individual license.
