Default Nokia E51 - buy Vodafone branded?

This may be a simple question, but I suspect the answer won't be altogether
straightforward.

I am interested in getting a new Nokia E51. It doesn't seem to be released
by Vodafone yet. In any case, would I be better off getting an un-branded
version rather than Vodafone's version? In addition to the 'normal' phone I
am particularly interested in web and email access, and in VOIP - this last
would be the decider for me.

Advice please, anybody?

I'm across the pond, but have in the past read nasty complaints about the
functionality of Vodafone-customized menus. The unbranded E51 should be
perfectly functional; it will automatically add access points for Vodafone
when you first power it up with a Vodafone SIM card anyway. VOIP would
require configuration anyway - either by installing an app to do it, or
manually configuring the SIP profile for the VOIP provider you choose.

Thanks very much for that - apologies I haven't been back sooner - I shall
now have to have a good read of the website you recommend.

Thanks again, Henry.
