Default Nokia N70. Grrrrrrrr !!!

So, why does my N70 now tell me 'Call not allowed' every time I try to dial
out?
Text and incoming, no problem.

02 say its a phone problem. Totally out of the blue. This is actually quite
dangerous isnt it? In case of emergency?

Dig a bit of digging and tried the 'hold down shift key' (swaps lines? Not
on mine matey..)
'Put on GSM mode only, not duel band'. Rubbish, nothing.

The reception is absolutely piss-poor as well, this thing is a bloody joke.
If any one has any ideas could they please enlighten me before I find the
local Nokia store and shove this thing up someones ars....!

Rant done.
Back to Sony.

Right, sorted.

If any one else gets this crap then check your sim card is the newer one.
Apparently there is a difference between a 5 and 3 volt power one. Not
compatible.

Now there's a question!
It worked on the old sim for a couple of days but then gave up. The tech
reckons the new ones are 3 volt and the phone would eventually just shut
down everything when it figures out the difference.
By the way, the new sim/reset/new settings has brought the phone really
alive. Including a much better signal strength.

Highly recommended. Just tell your service provider the old sim dosent work
with new phone and they should just give you a new one free of charge. 02
did for me, kept old number and everything. Damn good chaps!
