Default Is it OK to swap BMC-3 and BLC-1 batteries?

Hi everybody,

I've got a Nokia 3410 and a Nokia 3310, one has a BMC-3 battery, the other
has a BLC-1 battery.

Currently I'm using the 3410, while the 3310 doesn't have a sim card.
However, the battery of the 3410 is showing it's age, so I was wondering
whether or not it was possible to swap the batteries.

They are the same size and look exactly the same except for their type
indications. Can these batteries be swapped without experiencing negative
effects for the mobile phone?

Thanks in advance,

Ikke

The batteries are connected exactly the same way in each mobile. Also, the
batteries look exactly the same (dimensions, colours, ...).

They both have a voltage of 3.6V.

Thanks,

Although the terminals lined and the voltage is the same, it would depend on the
model of the phone; the only way to test at home whether you can interchange the
batteries is; when a battery is full discharged, plug it in to a phone and start
charging; if it doesn't charge, it means that the battery is not suitable for
that model even if the size fits
and with the price of the original batteries, I would be better off buying an
entry phone for less the price of the battery

They are interchangeable - ones Lithium, on NiMH - so slight differences
in weight and talk time but otherwise straight swap.
