Default SanDisk microSD and Nokia 6234

Anyone have any experience with the SanDisc microSD card used with the
Nokia 6234 phone? Is it compatible? Any problems? It's a lot cheaper
than the Nokia microSD cards and ships with an adapter which it looks as
if I'll need for using microSD cards in a card reader.

But info can be not reliable.
If I look to my own phone device compatibility (6680), it says
compatible to 1 Gb. I do use 2 Gb MMC card without problems.

But I do use a more cheap card as Sandisk.

The best is to test it, I have a 6125 with 512MB microSD which works fine for me.

Looks as if the 6234 is not listed there, but, then it's not listed on the
Nokia site either.

Sure if you just buy the microSD and keep it, you can go to a store and ask to
test the microSD before you decide to buy it, if you buy it over the net you
still have the right to return a none working device/unit, specially if you
have asked the seller if the microSD does work on your phone.

That's a point, I'll mail SanDisk. I wonder why the 6234 doesn't seem to
be listed on Nokia or other sites, surely it's not so new that Nokia don't
even list it.

Isn't the 6234 the Vodafone branded version of the 6233 ?

.... and as SanDisk are the disigners and manufacturers...

Well thanks Davy, that was an invaluable bit of info. I keep forgetting
how good Wikipedia can be, it even had my phone listed. Now over to
Amazon to order one, no need even to wait for a reply from SanDisk :-)

http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_6234-1388.php

A quick Google reveals Nokia made this model exclusively for Vodafone.

I use Sandisk memory in several items incl. my V3i (transflash) and never a
problem with them, especially as they are generally much cheaper than many
brands. MicroSD aka transflash is much more generic so you should have no
problems using it.
