SW updating problems on Nokia 6300

Hello everybody.
I've a 6300 with firmware version V 05.00
24-04-07
RM-217
I cannot update this to the latest version (V1.4.14it) via Nokia Software
Update because an error occurs.
I mean, I link my mobile through bluetooth connection and everything goes
well.
Nokia PC Suite see my mobile, and this is fine!
But, when I want to update also via browser the error message says: "Please
verify
the connection and set up the default mode or PC suite as connection!".
Before this message Nokia SW Updater says me to check out that "normal"
profile
is setted up. What "normal" profile stand for?
What can I do?

I believe my Nokia 6300 can support Nokia SW Updater, in fact a Nokia center
here in Italy said me to don't update the firmware on this mobile because
some
e.mail set up will be delete! :-( Is it true?
What do you suggest?
Last, I can further say you that I perfectly can explore my mobile via Nokia
PC Suite.

I believe you need to link with a cable not over Bluetooth which will
probably get updated as well. If you've been advised not to update the
firmware then why go ahead and do it?

It's because I bought a device like this one:

The problem is that I cannot pass automatically from one sim to the other
one, and
a message like "Do you allow this step on sim" occurs on the display. And I
need to
do YES all the time.

The double sim seller said me that maybe a SW update will help.
But right now I cannot update by Nokia SW updater and even by internet.

Can someone help me?
