In other news Sprint basically admitted that Nextel is dragging it down,
and reached an agreement with NASCAR to rename the Nextel Cup (formerly
the WInston Cup) as the Sprint Cup.

Let them bit!!! I think many hospitals should apply this technique, of
course the libs and the mainstream media would scream racism or
whatever. I you applaud Sprint.

David Vitter, Karl Krandall, Jack Zwick, all the same troll.
The grand irony of it all is that this is one time when I actually (mostly)
agree with Jack Zwick. It's happened maybe once or twice before. From a pure
profit-and-loss POV, you don't want to be charging people $30 or $50 or $70
per month when they're costing you more than that in support. But as I've said,
I don't think firing any significant number of customers is a good PR move,
even if it is only a one-time thing (which I'm led to believe it is).
So, Jack and I are on the same page in this case, yet he still manages to
lose credibility by switching pseudonyms several times during a conversation
(a trick he's tried before, and everyone's seen through it).

As being reported consistently now throughout the media, around 1,000
letters went out from a customer base of over 50 million. what does that
make the percentage? Right around.002%. Hardly qualifies as a significant
number.

I understand that. And it's blown up in Sprint's face. Again, I understand and
agree with the basic principle, but I still think the bad PR is going to suck
for Sprint.

My contrct ran out and they are now charging me 20.00 for the line I was
paying 9.99 for if they are doing this to everyone then they are not
thinking correctly

I doubt it- it'll all be forgotten like the recent Cingular "fiasco"
where they let a bunch of legacy sub-$20/month TDMA customers loose
rather than switch them to GSM.
Re: ABC TV reports on Sprint dumping customers. & Nascar
you're right.
my contract has been up for 6 months. today, I attempted to contact Sprint
about new phones.
I was cut off three times from their recorded voice system. when I finally
got through to someone, they just kind of gave me a 'take it or leave it'.
currently using Treo 600 and VGA1000 on 2000 minute plan (with Vision).
now the Sprint network is down-northern Texas. (Wed afternoon)

The irony is Sobol leaving OHIO after bragging you would nevr do so.

Heh. That just proves you're the same troll... only you continue to bring
up a point, again and again, that was answered a couple YEARS ago, in an
attempt to discredit me.
So you are attacking me even though I agree with you. Why am I not surprised?
Got news for ya, bud, a LOT more people on this newsgroup consider me a
credible source of info.
Do you even realize how foolish you look? Everyone *knows* it's you. Everyone
sees right through the ruse. You must think we're all stupid or something.
Oh, by the way, if we are going to talk about lies, how about your claim that
you were never going to post to this newsgroup again? I already addressed the
point you brought up at the top of this post, but you have NEVER answered my
question about why you continue to post here after telling everyone you were
going away for good. Hint: your answer should not include the word "Sobol".
My actions have no bearing on yours.
So? How about it? You said you weren't going to post here anymore; why do you
continue to do so?
(I expect that Zwickie will either attempt to nail me with some ad
hominems or just flat-out ignore me in a cowardly attempt to draw attention
away from his dishonesty.)

Paul, I agree, makes it easy for us who do have a problem now and then to
get some service.
