Bought the old Instinct Saturday
My two year time was up and I was looking to upgrade from the Katana
II. On the day the S30 came out, I went to Best Buy and checked it
out, but frankly was not very impressed with it. Beauty is skin deep
and yes, that bronze metal outside did look sharp. However, upon
reading up on the S30, it just was not that big improvement over the
original. I did not get an excited must have feeling, so I went back
to the drawing board. I looked at the original Instinct and thought
that you got much more for the money, a case, a usb cable, stylus, 2
gig card, and an extra battery. I really was on the fence and decided
to do some more homework.
I thought maybe the upcoming Dash might be the one that I wanted to
look at. However, I figured the price is probably going to be more,
but I was willing to wait until it came out to see.
I went back to Best Buy on Saturday and they had knocked the price
down on the original Instinct to $80. I was told there weren't too
many left and they were blowing them out. Knocking the price down $50
got me off the fence and I bought it.
You have to remember, I am going from a Katana II to an Instinct, kind
of like going from a go cart to a Mustang. I read the manual the last
two days and played with the phone and settings. It's Monday, I'm at
the office and I have the phone ready for the workday. I think it is
a very sophisticated piece of electronics. I have nothing to complain
about as it is the most advanced feature phone that I have ever owned.
